Handweaver from Iowa

Greetings, fellow fiber enthusiasts! I'm writing to share my passion for weaving and the rich textile traditions I continue here in the heart of Iowa.

My work as a weaver is deeply rooted in preserving and celebrating the artisan craft that has been passed down through generations. Each piece I create is a testament to the intricate skills of textile creation, connecting me to a long lineage of craftspeople who have transformed raw fibers into beautiful, functional art.

The rhythmic motion of my loom tells a story of patience, skill, and creativity. Every thread I carefully select and weave represents a connection to our agricultural heritage and the timeless art of handcrafting. From local wools to carefully chosen cottons, my work celebrates the natural fibers that surround us in Iowa's landscape.

Weaving is more than just a craft for me—it's a way of preserving culture, expressing creativity, and keeping alive a tradition that speaks to the heart of artisan skill. Each textile I create carries with it the spirit of Iowa's rich cultural landscape, woven stitch by stitch with intention and care.

I look forward to sharing more about my weaving journey and the stories embedded in every piece I create.
